Tomorrow evening we will have a very special service as we have the privilege of having what we call a Blessing Service for Jacob and Stephanie Taube. Jacob and Stephanie will leave next week for their ministry in China. I can never tell you how much God has joined our hearts. I have had the privilege of knowing and working with Jake now for several years. God has given Jake a great ability with languages and we are excited about seeing what God will do with them as they learn Chinese and then develop a ministry to reach the souls all over China.
Tomorrow night you just can’t miss the service. We will have the chance to tell Jake and Stephanie how much we love them, we will honor them, pray for them, and then they will be entered into our special hall for our special missionaries.
When we started the church Jake prayed, worked, made phone calls, did design work and even helped with the decorations of the church. He is a great friend and a blessing to our church and especially to me.
Jacob and Stephanie we love you and look forward to a very special evening with you tomorrow.
The battle cry has come, “There are 1.5 billion people in China and 1.3 billion have never heard!” said the underground believer as he sat in our hotel room in Beijing, China. “My village needs someone to take the gospel to it!” said another in Harbin, China. When will we awake and see the millions in China are dying at an increasing rate of 23,000 a day…most of which will spend eternity in hell.God has allowed us to see many amazing things over the last 10 days and I am forever thankful. Thank you to the God of heaven for this opportunity and safety and for everyone who has support me. Your support and payers were not in vain.
I had the priveledge to be an assistant leader on this trip due to the Our Generation Training Center. I have learned alot through the planning of the trip, classes, and all the practical training that I have recieved at the training center. It was definantley a help in planning the trip, finding the reight questions to ask, and just learning how to lead.
As you know the guys from the Our Generation Training Center and Macedonia Missionaires took a trip to China and just arrived back in the states. They now have a lot of really nice pictures and the story of their trip on the following web page. I want to challenge you to go and take a look at the Vision Tour awards and also at the Vision Tour 2006 report.
You can make plans now to take part in a trip like this with one of the groups. Several trips are planned for each year and we want to do all with in our power to help you get more of a burden for reaching the world with the gospel message.
I just received the following email note from Daniel Fleming in Harbin, China letting us know that the group was on the move back to Beijing. Please continue to pray for them that God would work in each of their hearts and that He would call some to go to the country of China with the Word of God. I am honored that we have the privilege as a church in helping to open the eyes of others to the needs around the world. It is exciting to know that God is moving and working.
Our youth pastor, Trent Cornwell, and his wife Stephanie are part of this trip. I am honored to work with a young man who is full of passion to get the gospel to the world and is serving as a mobilizer to get as many to the field and work as he can.
Bro. Gardner,
I just sent the group off to Beijing. I think they had a great time here in Harbin. I wanted to let you know they all were great people all very mannerly, all having a great testimony. I am looking forward to them coming back in the future. If there is anything I can ever do for you please let me know.
Missionary Jacob Taube, Pastor Trent Cornwell from World Vision Baptist Church and Our Generation Training Center Student and future missionary Mark Tolson are leading a trip to China. You can keep up with what God is doing there by going to their update page. It is exciting to see what God is doing with them. Check on them every day.
