Exodus 34:6 And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth,
What a good God we serve! Here in the Old Covenant where everyone thinks of Him as being so hard He tells Moses about His character.
He is merciful and full of grace. Even back in the Old Testament because He is the same today, tomorrow, and forever, as well as yesterday. Not only is Jesus all of these things but so is the Father. Could it be that you have been led to think differently or taught so?
He is longsuffering. And we all know that because He has graciously put up with us. He has not given us what we deserve but rather since Jesus to bear the payment for our sin so that we could enjoy Him in the very person of Jesus.
He is ABUNDANT in goodness and truth! Not only is he good and truthful but He is ABUNDANT in these things.
I just want you to consider Him for a few minutes. Think of how good He is. He is a good God. He is wonderful.
