Exodus 23:9 Also thou shalt not oppress a stranger: for ye know the heart of a stranger, seeing ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.
God told Israel that they were to never take advantage of foreigners because they had been foreigners in the land of Egypt. Treat people like you want to be treated.
Every day God brings more and more people to the USA. Some might find it hard to deal with so many foreigners. Our nationalism could get in the way of our Christianity if we aren’t careful.
Like Israel we should treat foreigners right. Remember this world is not our home. We are just a passing through. Our treasures are laid up some where beyond the blue. We know what it is like to feel different and not fit in.
So let’s love all these people that make their way into “our” country. Let’s treat them right. Let’s lead them to Jesus.
I thank God that Vision is a very accepting church. I hope no one ever feels like they do not belong because of the color of their skin, their nationality or their language.
