2Chronicles 14:11 And Asa cried unto the LORD his God, and said, LORD, it is nothing with thee to help, whether with many, or with them that have no power: help us, O LORD our God; for we rest on thee, and in thy name we go against this multitude. O LORD, thou art our God; let not man prevail against thee.
God can work and it matters not to Him how much power we have. He can work with a few or with many. What I love about this verse is the attitude that Asa had. We rest on thee, he said. We do what we do in your name. Can you imagine any greater declarations than these.
Asa was in trouble. He needed help. He knew who could help. He knew that he wasn’t the important part of the equation. He also knew that he should have the right motivation and purpose.
In a difficult time we often lose our rest. We get anxious. We get worried. We begin to complain and wonder where God is. Asa said, We are resting on you. What we do we do as your people for your purposes.
Now you are living in some difficult times right now. You are facing thing you have not faced before. The first advice is to rest on Him. Just trust God that He will do the right thing. Lean on Him and know that He will work it out.
Secondly, make sure that what you are doing is for Him. Be sure not to try and use God to get what you want rather seek Him first. Do what you do in His name.
He will work and move in your life. You can rest knowing that He will work things out for your best and for His glory.
