Acts 5:42 And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.
Interestingly the early Christians were talking about Jesus Christ and their faith everywhere they went! Did you notice that daily, every day they talked about Jesus?
Then in the temple and every house they talked about Jesus.
They ceased not or they wouldn’t quit talking about Jesus.
This verse should teach us a great truth and motivate us to a great lifestyle. We should talk about Jesus Christ all the time.
A couple of considerations; they didn’t talk about their church nor their pastor they talked about Jesus Christ. They didn’t talk about their great worship services or experiences they talked about Jesus Christ.
Also do not forget that they talked about Jesus in spite of opposition.
Now this brings us to a couple of questions that we should ask ourselves. How often do we talk about the Lord Jesus Christ? Where do we talk about Him? Do we talk more about our Sunday School class, mission’s program, teens, pastor, worship service or the Lord Jesus Christ?
They are not one and the same.
Do the people where you work know about your faith in the Lord Jesus or do they know more about your political and sports views? Do your friends know that you are a person of faith but that is kind of a private affair with you?
They didn’t just talk about Him but they taught others about Him. They didn’t go in to just mention him but to teach. They preached about Him. He was on their lips, in their hearts, and in their conversations. We must decide to share the gospel. That is what we are to do.
Everyday, everywhere we should be talking about Jesus Christ!
