The Mission Team arrived home this morning!

The following came in from Pastor Wayne Cofield about the people who went on the trip to South America. Please pray that God will continue to use this special trip in their lives:

The Mission Team had traveled via Bus from Arequipa, Peru to Lapaz Bolivia all day on Monday. Tried to get a few minutes of sleep on a cold floor in the airport . Line up at 3:30 a.m. Tuesday morning to catch a flight to Santa Cruz were they waited one hour and a half to load more passengers. Took off and arrived in Miami at 4:20 p.m. ran to next gate after getting through customs only to be pulled off the run way because of bad storms in Atlanta. Waited on the plane for two hours and finally arrived in Atlanta at 10:38 p.m. After finding all their luggage they arrived back at the church this morning at 2 a.m.

What amazed me about our team …not one complaint and they just were ecstatic over all the wonderful missionaries they had the opportunity to spend some time with . The Sonccos and the Whites really impressed them with their ministries and all their hospitality. I thank God for all the years that Bro. Austin Gardner invested in the work in Peru and the many hours of training that he also invested in training The Whites and of course the Sonccos.

Keep praying for the Whites as many churches have discontinued their support because of tough times in the States and for Bro. Chris Gardner as he has to be here to raise more support for the college in Arequipa and the many ministries in Peru. Also pray for Bro Jeremy Hall and his new wife Rebecca, who got to go on the trip, who are working hard on deputation to return to Arequipa to be a part of this exciting ministry.

There were comments like : “My life will never be the same”, “Amazing”, “Best time of my life” , “Got to hand out 1000’s of tracts”, “Had the best time preaching in my life”,and ” Great Services”! With all the adversities… all I heard all the way back to Dalton while I was driving the van was praise for what God was doing through our missionaries both in Bolivia and Peru! I thank God for everyone who had the opportunity to go on this trip and all who supported them and back them up with their prayers.

Thank you.

We will have plenty of pictures and more testimonies.
I thank God for our Assistant pastor , Bro. Jason and his wife Rebecca’s leadership in organizing this trip and of course Bro. Mark Coffey for his expert guidance. A couple of folks said that Mark ought to do this full time and that he did a wonderful job in making the trip a life changing experience not only for the team but for the souls that received the Gospel !

Can’t wait until Sunday when we can hear more about the trip!

Yours for Souls,

Bro. Wayne
