I am excited about the way that God is using Evangelist Ed Dunlop in our Family Children Meeting. He preaches the gospel very clearly. Tonight the attendance was a little lower, I guess, because some people may have gone to their own churches but it was still a great night. Brother Dunlop preached on Calvary.
Today he also preached at Lighthouse Christian School in Dawsonville, Georgia. I was told that the kids really loved it. There he preached on Drugs, Alcohol, and Tobacco.
I encourage you to go to his website to get more information and maybe get him to your church as quickly as possible. Click here for more info.
By the grace of God I believe that we will have our first church bus within a week or so. That being said we have an answer to prayer. $1,000 has already been given towards the purchase. We will need $1,500 more or so to pay for the bus but they are going to give us some time.
That adds more needs to our church. We need someone who will be dedicated enough to drive it with the correct license for driving a school bus. Would you pray about being serious about reaching boys and girls and men and women with the gospel with a bus route.
We will need someone to be our bus director and take over the ministry of running the bus and later buses every week.
We will need people who will step up and give a little extra each week to cover the cost of insurance, fuel, maintenance etc. This is an important ministry.
We need someone who will be willing to help paint and put a mural on the church bus. I want it to be the sharpest bus on the road.
This bus will be going, Lord willing, to the south of the church to apartments and houses around exit 10. We will need committed people who will go out every week and knock on some doors and try to invite more and more people to God’s house.
This is a big responsibility and a big privilege. I hope you will get involved in helping us.
God has been so good to us for over 2 years now. We are just now at the beginning of getting the gospel out. Will you get in there and really help us reach people with the gospel.
I was impressed last night with Evangelist Ed Dunlop. He is here at Vision Baptist doing a Family Rally. God gave us a good number of people last night and they had a great time.
More importantly they heard as clear and Biblical presentation of the gospel as anybody any where. He did a marvelous job. There was no doubt about what the Bible says and the message was not dumbed down.
I can’t wait to read some books that he has written that I am hearing about. They are like a modern day Pilgrim’s Progress. That is one of my all time favorite books. I hope you will take advantage of the opportunity to buy the books for your family. They will make great reading as a family. Here is a little information about the books and a link to them.
As a Christian parent, your primary objectives are to lead your own children to the Lord and then train them to serve Him. Here’s an action-packed allegory series that will help you in this endeavor. Each book was prayerfully written to encourage your young people to love their Lord and serve Him with all their hearts. The Terrestria Chronicles have been compared by many readers to The Pilgrim’s Progress, though this series has more adventure and is more relevant to today’s readers than Bunyan’s classic work.
There is NO magic or wizardry in this series!

Fast-paced action… powerful imagery… heart-pounding adventure… These life-changing books are captivating and once you start reading, you’ll find them hard to put down. This adventure series has a particularly strong appeal to today’s young people: it’s a series with knights and castles, dragons and princesses. . . but these are books in which every page points to truths of the Christian walk. Biblical doctrines and character principles are taught in such a compelling, fascinating way that they will stay with the reader for a lifetime.
The Terrestria Chronicles allegory series honors Jesus Christ as King, challenges young readers to love and serve Him, and teaches them to guard their hearts for Him. The focus of the series is always on the King.
Written for ages ten and up, the Terrestria series is ideal for family devotions, classroom use or individual enjoyment. So grab your sword and take your family on a quest to Terrestria! Your hearts will be changed forever
Please continue to pray. Here is a report with more detail about his surgery from his blog.
I went to the surgeon today and we have a plan. The surgery will be next Thursday at 7:30 am. They are going to go in through a 9 inch incision that will be made in my back between my ribs, separate to of my ribs and start to work on my right lung. They are going to need to surgically remove a section of my main bronchial tube and my middle lobe and possibly the lower lobe. The bronchial tube will be reatattched using a muscle that will be taken from my back to help it heal quickly. I am expecting to be in the hospital for 5 days. The surgeon classified this as a pretty major surgery so I would definitely appreciate your continued prayers especially on next Thursday. I haven’t been in the hospital for more than 10 years so this is all new to me. I am fully confident that my God knows where I am and will work all these things together for my good and His glory.
Again, so many people from all over the world have told me that they are praying for me. I would imagine that thousands of disciples of Christ know about this tumor and are praying. That is a huge source of strength for me. Pray for John Miller, the surgeon who will perform the surgery and for a quick recovery so we can return to North Africa. It looks like I will be able to be in North Africa for the last couple weeks that our summer interns will be there so I am excited about that. Keep praying!
Thank you for praying. Aaron will have surgery on Thursday. The doctors feel like that they will get everything and though he will lose a lobe of his lung he will be fine and back to ministry soon. It is exciting news to know that all is working out.
Thank you for praying for Aaron and may God continue to work in his life.
Chris, our missionary to Peru, is on his way to Peru for a quick trip. He leaves today and if I understand correctly he will be returning on Wednesday or Thursday. There is some business that he has to take care of.
God has been blessing raising up people who are willing to support the TV ministry for $30 a month. That is what it takes to keep the TV station operating for one hour. Within the last month God has given us about 15 different supporters.
Maybe you would consider giving $30 per month above your faith promise and your tithes and offerings to help our missionary as he works and serves in Arequipa, Peru.
Aaron is going to the doctor right now. He will be finding out about his surgery. He would really like to ask all of you to pray that the doctors will do the surgery as soon as possible and expedite his return to the field.
If you know him you know that his heart is in North Africa. I am begging God to work quickly and get him back on the field. Please pray with me
I just got a call from Larry Hess. He is asking that you be in special prayer for a special need that his family has.
His daughter is growing spiritually by leaps and bounds. We are so excited to hear what God is doing. Please stop and pray for the family and the special request right now
I wanted to tell you that we have some upcoming events that are very important and that I hope you will make every effort to be with us. I hope that you are able if you are a student or a preacher to take off and be with us for the Pastor’s Conference on World Evangelism. If you are a lay person who would be willing to help this is the time that I really need your help. We will be doing everything in our power to honor and welcome our guest pastors, missionaries, and staff. I need your help!
Also on our schedule is the following that you will want to pray for and invite your friends to:
May 8 Lord willing, Wayne Sosbee will be preaching on Thursday night and challeging us on the need for Reformers Unanimous and teaching our church staff. This will be great
May 11 Mother’s Day
May 15 Pastor McHoyt Moore from Old Suwanee Baptist Church will be with us to preach this Thursday evening service.
May 17 we will be hosting our teachers, workers, and other volunteers at our house as a way of thanking them for all they do.
I hope you will be praying for all of this and let’s see God do great and wonderful things in everyone’s life.
I think from what I am hearing that I was mistaken about this week and Evangelist Ed Dunlop. I had told you that it was a Children’s Rally but now everyone is telling me that it was a great time for the entire family and that it is really a Family Rally.
I am very excited about the reports that I have heard so far. Be sure and invite someone to come and be with you tonight and all week long.
