Great couple of days!
Yesterday in walks Eric Wu into my office with the greatest news I could have ever wanted to hear. He had accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior! Mark Tolson has been working with him for over a year. Nothing is more beautiful than to see people coming to know the Lord Jesus as the Savior and experiencing new life. God is at work in our midst. That made for a super great day that just made me thank God for Vision Baptist Church and the privilege that I have to serve Him here! Then here comes another beautiful story that you will not believe!
In the worst of times God is at work in our lives! This morning I got a call from John Pearson. He said that some men from his company had called to ask him if he would like to come and pray with them for the company. You know that times are pretty tough right now in the housing industry. John has lived under a stress that most of us would never understand! Hundreds of people depend on an income from the company! Things haven’t been going good but today that all changed!
No I do not mean that the economy turned around but I do mean that there was a sweet taste of Heaven and revival at the office today. John allowed me to accompany him! We walked in the office and found 28 men waiting! This are big, hard working, strong men, but men that know that they need God and what only He can do! They had come together to pray and seek God’s face.
John addressed the men first–he said something very important! He told the men that he wanted God to make him the man he should be and not to waste this time of testing and trial. He spoke to the men about how God might be using this in all of our lives! It was wonderful!
I was then given the opportunity to give them something from the Word of God. I preached a little using this blog post–Father knows best! I really believe the truth found in this lesson. I hope you will take the time to read it! You can also find John’s version of what happened by clicking here!
The atmosphere in the room was special and spirit charged. These men came together from their homes and some live a long ways off just to seek God’s face and blessing! The man that called the team together gave some verses, several shared testimonies, there were tears in eyes, and I was in awe that God had allowed me to even be in the room and see what He was doing!
I believe it was a turning point in many lives if not the business and the economy. I used to tell the folks in Arequipa that the city, country, and society in general were blessed by God because of His blessings on His people. You never know what God will do in our economy state wide just because some “good men” went before the throne of God and begged for His working in their lives and the business.
God is so good! I am so blessed to get the opportunities that I am given. I was honored and encouraged to be in the presence of those men today. I am begging God to do a work in their business just to show His power and glorify Himself through their lives.
