Students of Vision

The Students of Vision had a great week at Faith Factor Teen Camp. The nearly fifty teenagers enjoyed powerful preaching from our Pastor Austin Gardner, Bro. Tony Howeth, and many of the young men from our church and Lighthouse Baptist Church. The highlight of the week was seeing three students accepting Christ, nearly a dozen students rededicating their lives, and two young people surrendering to be missionaries!

The mornings and evening where filled with exciting skits, Faith Factor events, and relevant Bible preaching. However, the afternoons where spent in all different kinds of competition. From paintball, to basketball, to go carts there was something that every teenager enjoyed.

We were blessed to have 4 young men and 4 young ladies spend 5 days and 4 nights in this controlled atmosphere for the ministry of preaching (camp). Also, we had 4 other teenagers who joined us for one of the night services during the camp. All the students have given great testimonies of being blessed by the camp. I would like to thank you that helped make it financially possible for the students to attend. I believe you see a reward from your investment this side and on the other side of eternity.

Currently we have 10 – 12 students who are involved with the youth ministry of our church, Students of Vision. We are asking God to do an amazing work and allow us to see 30 students involved in the ministry by the end of the year. When we say “involved” we mean not only receiving from the ministry but also giving back to the church and the community. So little is expected of teenagers today. We believe that history and the Bible teaches that there is an enormous amount of potential in every teenager. We believe just surviving the teenager years is not enough. Please, pray for us and help us as we strive to make an impact in the life of the youth of this world.

We have just ended two weeks of camp and we are going into one more. However, next weeks camp only goes on from Monday to Wednesday. It is the Faith Factor Junior Camp. It is the best camp around for children age 8 to 12. The camp is amazingly only $50 a camper. If you would like to register you can call us at the church. The students will benefit by the fun and excitement the older teenagers had with Bible teaching appropriate for their age. We expect to have 5 – 7 students from Vision Baptist attend the camp this summer!
